At the CBST education program, our overall guiding mission is to create the human resources and the knowledge base to fuel the future of biophotonics and related sciences. We are pursuing this mission through the following goals:

1. Use the field of biophotonics to engage and prepare students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds to pursue productive careers in interdisciplinary team-based science and technology.
2. Engage the public in understanding the field and opportunities presented by biophotonics.
3. Develop educational tools for teaching and exploring  biophotonics.
