Theoretical and simulation studies of myosin and T7 RNA polymerase dynamics

Stochastic dynamical models suitable for incorporating structural information of proteins have been studied for two model systems of motor proteins: myosin and RNA polymerase. Potentials of mean force of protein conformational states serve as key input parameters. Analytical solutions of stationary states can be obtained, with results that can be compared with single molecule experimental data. Computational efforts to obtain the potentials of mean force using high-resolution structures will also be described.
