Physics-based atomic-level modeling is a powerful tool to study the dynamics of complex molecules such as proteins and nucleic acids. Recent advances have enabled direct modeling of the protein folding process of small proteins. In this talk, I will discuss the issues relevant to the development of accurate modeling of proteins. I will discuss the folding mechanisms of small proteins and their free energy landscapes.
