- The upcoming workshop will bring together experts in the diagnosis and treatment of several important health issues we face today. The format will include talks by leading experts in the biophotonic field, as well as panels of experts addressing the needs for fast cures and overcoming barriers to translational medicine.

- he workshop is a two-day event which focusses on latest developments in single molecule spectroscopy and fluorescence lifetime imaging. The topics covered during this workshop include basic single molecule detection techniques, fluorescence microscopy, Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM), Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) and Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS). The workshop includes lectures as well as hands-on experiments, which will be held in the Biophotonics Center. As the space is limited, please register as soon as possible.

- The NSF Center for Biophotonics, Science, and Technology (CBST) will host the 1st International Congress on Biophotonics (ICOB) on February 3-7, 2008, in Sacramento, CA. The purpose of this event is to connect scientists developing biophotonics technologies with end-users in the fields of biosciences and medicine in order to create a strategic road map for the future of biophotonics research.
